I left Beaverton after picking up some extra boxes at the post office, and after a quick breakfast, to pick up Natalie at her friends house.
We started the long drive to Prairie City. We edged the Columbia river on the freeway before turning south on smaller roads. We switched driver just about then, and Natalie was my chauffeur for the rest of the trip. Pretty uneventful, but lots of highway patrol/police along the way. Speed limits dipped down to 20 in many places.
We had dinner at a brewery in John Day.
After this, we drove 9 more miles, and found the school pretty easily. We set up camp in our spot (#24) in the middle of the baseball field. Not too many campers yet.
